PRACTICAL TAKEAWAYS DIRECTLY FROM THE WORLD’S BEST LIFE COACH.
“Success is a science and fulfilment is an art.”
— TONY ROBBINS
Wow. Just wow.
I have been following Tony Robbins from the side lines for years, and thanks to an invite from the legends at Success Resources, I was able to truly immerse in the great man’s teachings and experience one of his events first hand.
‘Unleash the Power Within’ was a four-day event in Sydney, held at the Qudos Bank arena. Overall, there where countless takeaways, but I want to share a few that stood out to me.
Tony has this remarkable ability to truly capture the attention and energy of everyone in the room (nearly seven thousand people) and put you in a peak state. He combines the perfect balance of seminar and rock concert and one of the big takeaways was around ‘living in a beautiful state’. Tony spoke about the importance of choosing and guarding your state and the fact that you can change your state in an instant. One of the simplest ways to change your state, is by vastly changing your physiology. Make a move, stand up and stretch, dive in ice cold water, whatever it takes. By changing your physiology, you can override the mind, and in a peak state anything is possible. Even WALKING ON FIRE! Something we did on the first night.
Another super practical take-away, is the power of having morning rituals. Tony took us through his daily practise, which includes breathing techniques, guided meditation and gratitude. He does this every morning and I implore you to give it a go.
Speaking about gratitude – another great reminder I received, was the importance of celebrating. It is extremely important to acknowledge your wins both big and small. And whether it be giving yourself a pat on the back or screaming at the top of your lungs, it can do wonders.
Finally, I want to leave you with a powerful statement that really stood out to me: ‘Success is a science and fulfilment is an art.’ There are strategies and tools for success, but fulfilment is the goal and it takes skill, patience and practice.
